The 2023 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), officially known as the 32nd Southeast Asian Games and also known as Cambodia 2023, were a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 5 to 17 May 2023. It was the second time that Cambodia had hosted the SEA Games, after the 2003 edition.


A total of 11 nations participated in the games, with Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Timor-Leste sending athletes to compete in 608 events across 37 sports.


Vietnam won the overall medal count with 136 gold medals, 105 silver medals, and 114 bronze medals. Thailand came in second with 108 gold medals, 96 silver medals, and 108 bronze medals. Indonesia finished third with 87 gold medals, 80 silver medals, and 109 bronze medals.


The 2023 SEA Games were a major success for Cambodia, with the country receiving praise for its organization and hospitality. The games also helped to boost Cambodia's tourism industry, with visitor numbers increasing significantly during the event.
