Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026)
Action Adventure
Four years after the events of No Way Home, Peter Parker lives in complete isolation in New York City, protecting the city as Spider-Man while everyone he loved—including Ned Leeds and MJ—has forgotten his true identity.
Plot Summary:
Evolving Powers: Driven by emotional trauma and continuous overwork, Peter experiences a sudden biological mutation within his arachnid DNA, causing his powers to evolve and rendering his mechanical web-shooters obsolete in favor of organic webbing.
A Telepathic Threat: A mysterious new threat emerges as a powerful telepath begins possessing ordinary citizens and villains (including Mac Gargan / Scorpion) across the city to target the Department of Damage Control (DODC). The entity is later revealed to be Jean Grey, a young rogue mutant who is searching for secret experiments run by DODC Director Bill Metzger.
Unlikely Allies: To track the invisible threat, Spider-Man allies with Frank Castle (The Punisher) and consults Bruce Banner to construct mutation-suppressing inhibitor devices. Chaos ensues when Jean possesses Banner, unleashing the uncontrollable Savage Hulk onto the city streets.
Resolution & Climax: During the conflict, Peter crosses paths with MJ once again. Instead of fighting Jean directly, Peter allows her into his mind, sharing his memories of Aunt May. Connected by their shared grief and loneliness, Jean yields, but Frank Castle takes a long-range shot at her. Peter shields Jean from the bullet, sustaining a near-fatal injury before being saved by Jean's psionic abilities.
In the aftermath, the DODC is placed under federal investigation. Recovering from his wounds, Peter chooses to embrace a fresh start—finally reconnecting with his humanity rather than bearing the entire burden of being Spider-Man alone.
